Barton Mills Recruitment was launched in January 2004 with the confidence that our service offerings will make a difference. Our confidence is based quite simply on our people and our experience. It is the nature of this experience that allows us to effectively partner people and organizations and act in an advisory capacity. Our experience as consultants, Training Managers and Hiring Managers within the Australian recruitment industry allows us to truly consult to our candidates and clients, because we understand.

Sydney

Clare Barton

Clare has lived in Australia and worked in the recruitment industry for the past 12 years. The first four years of this was spent working her way up through the ranks within an International IT recruitment Agency. Her experience as a senior manager within this sector has given her the knowledge and expertise to understand both clients and candidates needs. In 2004, Clare set up Barton Mills Recruitment and has worked within the Recruitment to Recruitment industry ever since. Clare's current focus is within the IT sector with a particular focus on working with senior and management level candidates. Clare graduated in 1996 with a BA in Economics and Politics gained at Nottingham University in the UK. Prior to recruitment she gained experience in sales and customer service with a large National Retailer in the UK.

Richard Mills

Richard moved to Australia in 2001 from Scotland. Originally from an accounting background he moved into recruitment with the inception of Barton Mills in 2004. Seeking recruitment experience he joined an international agency and worked for two years in the accounting contract space within banking and financial services. Richard joined Barton Mills Recruitment in a full time capacity in February 2006 and now focuses on senior assignments across the Sydney marketplace as well as the operational aspects of the business.

Ben Roberts

Ben is originally from the UK and having spent 3 ½ years in New Zealand relocated to Sydney 2 years ago. He started his recruitment career working in an HR role for the Ministry of Defence in the UK before moving into a role with Hudson in New Zealand recruiting for some of the major banks. He then turned his attention to recruiting in the Accounting & Finance sector where he was successful in placing Chartered Accountants internationally.

Ben has recently moved into the Recruitment-to-Recruitment sector and joined the Barton Mills team and is focused on the Banking and Accounting & Finance recruitment market.

Melbourne

Neil Smith

Neil has worked in recruitment for over 8 years. Originally recruiting within the Office Support space for two years, Neil then moved into the Recruitment-to-Recruitment sector for Jarvis Knight in the UK where he progressed from a Consultant to Branch Manager of the business. Neil joined Barton Mills Recruitment after emigrating from the UK in May 2008 as a Senior Consultant in Sydney.

After a successful 2 years Neil was promoted to Associate Director in July 2010 and now runs the Melbourne operation.

Elke Osadnik

Elke has worked within the recruitment industry for approximately 13 years. Her career originated within the light industrial arena with a global firm before moving in to office support and contact centre recruitment as a Branch Manager before venturing to the UK to broaden her knowledge. Following several years within agencies Elke was then approached to join one of her clients in Australia as an internal recruiter - an opportunity that provided Elke with the chance to recruit across a whole range of corporate disciplines including all areas of Human Resources. For the past six years Elke has worked with some leading Australian organizations as an Internal Recruitment Leader and brings industry knowledge and a specific passion for 'recruiting recruiters' to Barton Mills.

Elke specializes recruiting across Accounting, Banking, and IT.
